ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday has directed the plaintiffs in the plea seeking halt to departmental proceedings against two former federal police officials to present arguments on May 11.

IHC Justice Athar Minallah held hearing of the petition seeking halt to departmental proceedings against former inspector general (IG) Aftab Cheema and ex-senior superintendent of police (SSP) Muhammad Ali. The plaintiffs are four former IGs.

The petition states that proceedings against honest and able officers would discourage the personnel and damage their morals.

Additional Attorney General Afnan Kareem Kundi rejected the plea for hearing. Justice Minallah ordered the party to present arguments regarding its hearing on May 11.
