Mohajir Qaumi Movement urges JC to summon six witnesses in rigging case

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News)- Mohajir Qaumi Movement on Monday has submitted a list of as many as six witnesses to Judicial Commission (JC) to record their statements over rigging matter, Dunya News reported.

As per details, the counsels of Mohajir Qaumi Movement approached JC and urged the authority to summon caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh Zahid Qurban, Secretary Election Commission Ishtiaq Ahmad, former provincial Election Commissioner SM Tariq, Senior Superintendent of Police South (SSP) Nasir Aftab, SSP Korangi Irfan Bhutto and Senior House Officer (SHO) AD Chaudhry in the rigging case.

The party told that these enlisted people claimed of mismanagement during the election in 2013, therefore, the commission should called them to record their statements.

Earlier, while submitting reply to JC, Mahajir Qaumi Movement has also accused Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) of rigging the election in Karachi and Hyderabad.

Justice Ameer Hani Muslim and Justice Ejaz Afzal under the supervision of Chief Justice (CJ) Nasir-ul-Mulk would review all the matters regarding rigging.
