Summary CM Punjab has taken the notice and ordered inquiry into the incident
SHEIKHUPURA (Dunya News) – An influential landlord on Saturday torched a 10-year-old boy on suspicion of setting wheat fields on fire in Sheikhupura. At least two individuals have been arrested after the news of the incident was aired on Dunya News, while Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has also taken notice of the incident.
According to details, fireworks launched by local children in Sikhan Wali village, a flame of which fell into wheat farm nearby causing damage to the crop. In the aftermath, a landlord identified as Quyyum threw labourer’s son Farhad into fire.
The boy kept pleading for mercy but it fell to the deaf ears of the landlord. As a result, 40% body of the boy has been burnt after which the boy has been admitted at a local hospital. The boy is in critical situation at the Trauma Center.
The Manawala police station virtually ignored the incident but later registered a case and arrested the landlord and his accomplice Younas after it was reported by Dunya News.
Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has also taken notice of the incident and has ordered immediate inquiry.
