Summary Matters of national interests are sensitive, one should think before speaking, says Nawaz Sharif
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News, Web Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Saturday said that the statement made by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain was uncalled for. Although Altaf has apologized, which PM termed as a good gesture, Nawaz said that care should be taken in matters concerning national security, reported Dunya News.
In a statement, PM said that matters of national interest are sensitive and Altaf should have taken everything into account before making such a provocative speech. He said that one should think before speaking.

Nawaz said that such statements undermine the prestige of the national institutions. He said that it is the duty of the government to protect the dignity and credibility of the armed forces since army is responsible for national defence and security. He said that Altaf s apology is a good gesture.
Prime Minister also said that the media should act according to the code of conduct under the law of the land. "Media should make sure that irresponsible statements that undermine national interest do not get aired", he advised.
