KARACHI (Daily Dunya) - Wife of detained suspect Moazzam, arrested in Imran Farooq’s murder case, has registered another petition in Sindh High court (SHC) pleading to allow the family to meet Moazzam, Daily Dunya reported on Thursday.

She said that the police personnel are not allowing them to meet Moazzam whereas the plaintiff also argued that she had also approached the Chairman of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) but no action has been taken from him as well.

Moreover, further proceedings of the plea will be conducted on Thursday.

Rangers while raiding a house near Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarters Nine Zero arrested a worker of political party named Moazzam Ali, Dunya News reported.

According to details, heavy contingent of Rangers’ officials raided Mutassal House near Abu Tarab Imambargah early morning and arrested Moazzam Ali whereas also confiscated his laptop.

Moreover, the suspect was transferred to undisclosed location for interrogation.

The family protested against his detention and demanded immediate release whereas MQM has denied any relations with Moazzam and said that the family has been living in the area for many years but Moazzam has no links with MQM.

MQM leader Dr Imran Farooq was on his way home from work when he was attacked in Green Lane on Sept 16, 2010 outside his London home. A post-mortem examination found that he died from multiple stab wounds and blunt trauma to the head.
