Summary Registrar of Supreme Court (SC) is likely to be appointed as Secretary of JC.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan Nasir-ul-Mulk has chaired first session of Judicial Commission, made to probe rigging in election 2013, in Islamabad today (Thursday).
During the meeting, a three-member bench comprised of Chief Justice, Justice Ameer Hani Muslim and Justice Aijaz Afzal Khan planned out the schedule of meetings and also discussed key points including how to lead the investigation and who would be summoned in rigging case.
The commission has also directed the party members, who claimed rigging, to submit their membership certificates.
CJ Nasir-ul-Mulk further vowed to inspect the allegations honestly and as per law.
The bench also carried out a meeting prior to JC’s first session in which procedures and strategies to investigate the rigging were discussed.
As per sources, registrar of Supreme Court (SC) would likely to be appointed as Secretary of JC.
On the other hand, CJ Nasir-ul-Mulk would leave for Britain on a six-day visit to attend international conference on judiciary whereas no session of JC would be held in his absence.
