Musharraf's non-bailable arrest warrant challenged in IHC

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The non-bailable arrest warrant of former president Pervez Musharraf on Friday has been challenged in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

Musharraf’s counsel Malik Tahir Advocate submitted plea in the IHC. The petition states that a medical board is in the process of examining the former president however, he wants to appear before the trial court but due to his illness it is not possible.

The plea urges the court to cancel the non-bailable arrest warrant and reinstate the surety which was seized earlier.

Furthermore, the petition urges the IHC to accept Musharraf’s application for absence from the court.
