LAHORE (Dunya News) – The demand of electricity has decreased due to the rains leaving the shortfall at 3,400 Megawatt (MW).
According to the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) sources, the electricity demand stands at 12,900 MW while earlier during past few days of scorching heat it was more than 14,000 MW.

The decrease in the shortfall has caused lessening of power outages duration. The duration of outages in rural and urban areas is nine and seven hours respectively. Moreover, the unannounced outages have decreased significantly.

According to the authorities, the hydal power would increase if the outflow is increased within coming weeks.
