KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Apparel Forum on Friday has dispatched a letter to the Prime Minister (PM) for the appointment of Haji Muhammad Akram Ansari as the minister for textile.

According to the letter, the tenure of senator Abbas Afridi as the textile minister has expired thus the post is vacant. The letter urges PM Nawaz Sharif to appoint new minister for smooth functioning of the sector.

The forum has urged the PM to appoint former government’s National Assembly (NA) standing committee for textile’s leader, Ansari.
