ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Emir Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad AL Thani on Tuesday has left for his homeland concluding his two-day visit to Pakistan. Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz personally saw the guest off at Noor Khan Airbase.

On the occasion, federal cabinet members, Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee and chiefs of all three services were also present. During Emir’s visit, he held meetings with PM, President Mamnoon and discussed different matters including trade, defense, foreign investment and energy.

The meetings vowed to strengthen Pakistan-Qatar relations. Leaders of both sides signed several agreements to extend cooperation is various sectors. The agendas of these agreements include cultural cooperation, youth affairs and sports. First executive programme was also signed according to which both the countries will cooperate in different sectors including education, science, research and media.

This was the first visit of Sheikh Tamim to Pakistan as the supreme leader of Qatar.
