Summary I won't get a case registered against these boys, but depressed over indifference by the people
LAHORE: (Daily Dunya) – A police constable was beaten up on Saturday in the Course area on the Canal by some motorcyclists. The boys tore his uniform apart but the passersby kept watching the constable being thrashed, Daily Dunya reported.
According to the details, police constable Azhar Hussain is the driver of an SSP in Lahore. Some unknown bikers beat the constable up on Canal road in Course area of Lahore. The people, passing by, kept staring at the scene but none came forward to rescue the innocent constable. The bikers fled the scene after beating the constable up.
Weeping, the constable said that the police safeguard the life and property of the citizens but none of the citizens came forward to rescue him.
Azhar Hussain said that he would not get a case registered against the boys who had beaten him up. “But I feel depressed over the indifference that the people displayed. Are we not human?”, he questioned.
