Summary He chief said he is ready to distance himself from the party if workers accept the party without him
LONDON (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Saturday said that MQM does not believe in violence and militancy, adding that MQM has no place for criminals, Dunya News reported.
Addressing workers in over 20 cities of US and Canada on party’s 31st foundation day, Altaf Hussain said that houses belonging to MQM are being raided and ‘innocent’ people are being arrested.
He said MQM still ‘stands side by side’ with Pakistan Army despite raids on MQM center.
MQM chief said that ‘shameless’ allegations were leveled against MQM through death-row inmate Saulat Mirza’s statement, adding that an attempt was made to harm MQM’s image worldwide.
“We were told the operation in Karachi will be without any discrimination” but, he said, MQM is being targeted. He said over 100 of MQM workers have been killed, hundreds are arrested and dozens are missing.
MQM chief said he is ready to distance himself from the party if workers accept the party without him.
