ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – While strongly protesting India’s summoning of Pakistani High Commissioner over bail of Mumbai terror attack accused Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi’s bail, Pakistan officials have asked India not to create unnecessary outcry over Lakhvi’s bail.

Giving a swift response to India, Pakistan officials said that the government can’t influence court’s decision and that India should stop creating unnecessary outcry over the issue.

Pakistan Foreign Office (FO) spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam said that bail does not mean acquittal, adding that Lakhvi will still face trial.

“Why was mastermind of Samjhota Express released on bail?” She asked, adding that Pakistan’s question was never answered.

She said it was inappropriate for India to summon Pakistani High Commissioner over the matter. Sources further said that Pakistan has submitted the stance that the trial of Mumbai terror attack accused was prolonged because of India’s lack of cooperation.
