Summary 9,836 afghan refugees are residing in Lahore currently.
LAHORE (Dunya news) – The government of Punjab on Thursday decided against the registration of further Afghan refugees according to Dunya News. Afghan refugees residing in Pakistan earlier will have to return to their country before December 31st 2015. Government of Punjab has made United Nations (UN) department for refugees and the Afghan government aware of these developments through the Federal government.
According to the sources, there are currently 169911 Afghan refugees residing in 33 cities of Punjab. 33614 refugees are residing in Rawalpindi, 28623 in Mianwali while 25256 refugees are in Chakwal. 9,836 afghan refugees are residing in Lahore currently.
