LAHORE (Dunya News) – Anti-measles drive launched by the Punjab government got in jeopardy when huge amount of vaccine worth millions was wasted in River Ravi on Monday.

According to the statistics, the anti-measles campaign launched by the Punjab government a few days ago was to vaccinate 30 million children across province whereas chances of the vaccine to be surplus were none. But more than 10, 000 useable vaccines were dissipated near Band Road in River Ravi.
Vaccines that could be used till 2017 (as per the expiry date) have been wasted in the river instead, which is a clear case of dereliction of duty.
