Summary MQM leader says Imran wants anarchy in the country, his press conference is condemnable
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Haider Abbas Rizvi lashed out at Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Monday and responded to Imran’s press conference in strong words. He said that Imran Khan’s press conference was pre-planned and he wanted to create political anarchy in the country, reported Dunya News.
Holding a press conference in Karachi, Haider Abbas Rizvi said that Imran Khan used derogatory remarks for MQM chief Altaf Hussain. He said that Imran Khan wanted unrest in Karachi just before the arrival of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, who are expected to visit Karachi on Friday.
Rizvi said that MQM believed this day to be the darkest day in the history. He said that MQM workers were angry over Imran Khan’s statements but they remained peaceful, knowing Imran’s ‘intentions’. He said that Imran wanted to sabotage the peace of Karachi.
MQM leader condemned Imran Khan in harsh words. He said that Imran Khan called Altaf Hussain a psychopath but his own character did not qualify for being a national leader. “Imran Khan was called as ‘playboy’ by British newspaper Dailymail and MQM never published Dailymail. All the media reported what was happening in sit-ins. Imran Khan himself had to intervene during his speech to direct the workers to respect the ladies”, Rizvi said. “PTI is the political wing of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)”, he added. British newspaper had declared ‘Sita White’s murder as mysterious’, he said. He demanded investigation into Sita White’s murder as well.
Haider Abbas Rizvi said that PTI never raised its voice for Baldia Town incident but did not leave the chance to malign MQM.
“Imran Khan said he would go to London and file case against Altaf Hussain. He has been saying that for several years but hasn’t been able to walk his talk”, he said. Imran Khan ran a long campaign against Altaf Hussain but failed to get anything, he said. “Scotland Yard is no NA-122 election Mr. Khan”, he said.
Rizvi said that Imran Khan’s politics was over after the sit-in. “He kept waiting for some umpire to raise his fingers but the finger was never raised”, he said. “Imran Khan wants to be the prime minister no matter what it takes. Even if the cost is Pakistan, Imran Khan would pay it for becoming head of the country because he wanted Taliban to rule the country”, he said.
Senior MQM leader said that Imran Khan starts to praise the MQM when he needs to stage some public meeting in Karachi. “Shah Mehmood Qureshi starts saying that Pakistan needs leaders like Altaf Hussain when they need to hold public meetings in Karachi. But when they don’t need the MQM, they start such campaigns against us”, he said.
Thousands of MQM workers have been killed by the TTP but we couldn’t be bowed down by them, he said. Rizvi said that PTI had alleged MQM of murdering PTI leader Zahra Shahid as well but didn’t even file an FIR for her murder.
MQM leader Dr. Farooq Sattar said on this occasion that Imran Khan’s provocative speech was intended to create political anarchy in the country. He said that this political infighting will not help democracy to strengthen in the country.
