LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Friday has said that for the peace and stability in the South Asia, the solution to the Kashmir issue is necessary. He said that Pakistan desires peace.
He expressed these views while addressing the participants of a seminar at the International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS).
The COAS said that the Operation Zarb-e-Azb is continuing with success. The National Action Plan is an efficient policy to curb terrorism, he added. General Sharif said that the government is making all-out efforts to counter terrorism.
COAS General Raheel Sharif also said that terrorists of all banned outfits are being targeted indiscriminately. Moreover, he said that the country’s relations with neighbour Afghanistan are getting better.
