Summary MQM paid the cost for raising voice against TTP, says MQM coordination committee member
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Haider Abbas Rizvi on Friday has said that the party workers are being targeted by terrorists. He said that Tehreek-i-Taliban (TTP) and other banned outfits assisting it are involved in the killings of MQM workers.
He expressed these views in a press conference of the MQM coordination committee in Karachi.
He said that MQM Nadeem Ahmed was targeted by at least five terrorists after his identification while he was present at his shop. Rizvi said that MQM is raising voice against TTP for at least a decade. He said that killing of MQM workers all over in the country it is a matter of serious concern.
He said that MQM also has to pay the cost for raising voice against TTP. Nadeem Ahmed resided in a city other than Karachi for some time, he added.
Rizvi urged Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif to expand the circle of operation by the Pakistan Army in Karachi.
