Summary The government wants that judicial commission be established to probe rigging, says Dar
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar on Friday said that the matter of establishment of judicial commission to probe rigging in the General Elections 2015 could be resolved within half an hour if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supports the government.
He expressed these views while talking to the media in Islamabad.
He said that the government wants that judicial commission be established to probe rigging in elections. He said that the government needs PTI’s support of some clauses for its establishment. Dar said that PTI wants to have the investigations done by the commission inclusive of all the rigging related petitions but this act would imply that rigging has been done intentionally.
To include such a word in the Terms of Reference (TORs) of the establishment of judicial commission would be equivalent to plead guilty of rigging, he added.
Dar further said that there is nothing in the amended draft of judicial commission to negate it.
