LAHORE (Dunya News) – Social networking website Twitter is flooded with tweets of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters especially PTI’s tigresses after PTI chairman Imran Khan gave a statement on January 6 in a press conference that he would make an official announcement about his second marriage within a week.
Earlier, the news about link-up of Khan and British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) weather girl Reham Khan was making rounds in the media for several days. The episode got hyped after Khan’s statement in a press conference in Bani Gala on January 6. Tweeple started gushing about the matter and took it to another level altogether after they were able to trend #KaptaanKiDholak.
Earlier, another trend #MereKaptaanKiShadiHai was topping the trends list of Pakistan and as amusing as it may sound, the trend is still on the top and is going strong after the day has passed.
Khan has been known to always have mesmerized the people of the country first by bringing home Pakistan’s first and so far the only cricket WorldCup in 1992 and then being one politician with real charisma and having the x-factor. Khan has thousands of women devotees in metropolitan cities who like to call themselves ‘PTI’s tigresses’ and ‘Khan ki tigresses’ along with millions and millions of followers who are inspired by the vision of a ‘new Pakistan’ that PTI has put forth.
