ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A meeting of the Chief Justices (CJs) of five High Courts headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Nasirul Mulk on Wednesday has decided to hold hearings of the cases related to terrorism on daily basis and an official notification to conclude these cases as soon as possible has also been issued.
According to the notification, the terrorism cases would be given the priority over other cases and hearings would be held everyday.
The judges, witnesses, investigators and prosecutors would ensure their presence in the courts on the hearing dates.
Moreover, the supervising judges of the special courts would hold a meeting every month.
The notification also urges the Law and Justice Commission to separate the terrorism cases from others and review the Anti-Terrorism Act.
