ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that the government cannot force Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) for talks on gunpoint. He said that he had invited PTI for talks on Sunday evening but PTI remained adamant. He said that the government believed in talks and did not have any problems in forming judicial commission in line with the constitution.

Talking to media on Sunday, Ishaq Dar said that the government had requested PTI to stop protesting during talks but Chairman PTI Imran Khan kept insisting on protesting. He said that the government cannot force the PTI to talk.

Ishaq Dar said that reduction in petroleum prices had nothing to do with Imran Khan. “Petroleum prices are linked to international market”, he said. He said that the sit-ins and protests have damaged the economy badly.

“Just when Pakistan’s economy starts getting right, foreign hands get active in destabilizing the country”, said Dar. “Political parties should sign charter of economy for ensuring economic stability”, he suggested.
