FAISALABAD: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) had another faceoff on Monday when workers of both the parties came face-to-face at Ghanta Ghar Chowk of Faisalabad and started raising slogans against each other’s leaders, Dunya News reported.

According to details, PTI had given call for strike in Faisalabad on 8th of December which was rejected by the trade unions of Faisalabad. To make the strike call successful, PTI had placed banners in all teh eight adjoining markets of Faisalabad Ghanta Ghar Chowk. PML-N supporters had also put their banners in the same areas. According to sources, government banners were placed in front of PTI banners.

Enraged, PTI workers took to the Ghanta Ghar Chowk and started raising ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogans. Responding to this, PML-N workers started to raise ‘Ro Imran Ro’ (Cry Imran Cry) slogans.

PML-N leader Talal Chaudhry said that nobody will be allowed to force anything upon the citizens of Faisalabad. “We’ll force them to run”, he said.

PTI spokesperson Shirien Mazari said that government’s ‘Gullus’ are harassing us. “We won’t back out”, she said.

While the trade unions have rejected PTI’s call for strike, PTI supporters say that the government has failed to deliver and they will protest under any condition.

 

One group of power looms labourers have also announced to take part in PTI’s protest.
