Summary JI head warned that if PTI-govt fight continued, it would send all politicians packing

PESHAWAR: (Dunya News) – Jamaat Islami (JI) head Sirajul Haq has said that the fight between the ruling Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) will send all the politicians packing if it continued in the same fashion, Dunya News reported.

Addressing the Dastaar-Bandi ceremony of Haffaz in Sheikhabad, Peshawar, on Sunday, Sirajul Haq said that the rulers should learn from the past and allow Chairman PTI Imran Khan hold public meetings. He advised the government to take the first step in bridging the gap between the two parties by extending an invitation to PTI and start negotiations. He said that the country will have to be taken out of the political turmoil.

Sirajul Haq said that Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri left but his departure did not end the crisis. He said that judicial commission should be formed immediately. He said that status quo will have to be broken to create an Islamic Pakistan. "Current system contradicts Islamic law", he added.

JI head said that Pakistan is under debt worth 62 billion dollars. “Banking system does not benefit the poor but a few families”, he said. Chief Guest of the ceremony distributed certificates among more than 100 pupils.
