Summary There would come a day when the killing spree would end in Karachi, says Pervez Elahi
KARACHI (Dunya News) – President of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Thursday has said that the re-elections in the country are expected within six to eight months.
He expressed these views while talking to the media at the residence of Pakistan s former ambassador to United Nations (UN) Abdullah Haroon.
He said that for flawless elections, an authoritative and unbiased Election Commission (EC) is needed.
Shujaat also said that they were not included in the discussions for the appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) thus they discard it.
PML-Q president said that there would be no midterm but re-elections would be held in the country.
On the occasion, former chief minister (CM) Pervez Elahi said that the appointment of the CEC prior to the election amendments is useless. Elahi also said that Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri is ill for real and these are not theatrics.
Both the leaders expressed hope regarding Karachi saying that the city would soon once again become the city of lights.
Elahi further said that there would come a day when the killing spree would end in Karachi.
