Summary SC ordered CDA to submit report regarding offices that cause route blockade, within 15 days.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court on Friday took notice of encroachments in the name of security in residential areas of Islamabad and summoned report within 15 days.
Justice Jawad S Khawaja took notice of the encroachments during a case of Capital Development Authority (CDA) inquiring if the ones who blocked the roads stand preeminent above all.
Justice Sarmad Jalal Usmani remarked that nobody has the right to block roads in the name of security neither does any country exercise such a measure; the consulates in the residential areas must therefore be shifted to diplomatic enclave.
