ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) on Monday has sought explanation from government institutions on Kot Radha Kishen incident, Dunya News reported.
According to details, SC has directed Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Interfaith Harmony and Establishment Division to submit their explanations for not fulfilling the order of minority’s protection.
SC asked that as the orders for the protection of minorities have already been given than why the decision has not been implemented yet?
According to sources, a copy of SC’s decision has been sent to respective departments proposing various steps for the security of minorities.
Earlier, Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif set up a 3-member committee to probe the incident.
Shahzad and his wife Shama were laborers in Chak 59 village near Kot Radha Kishan. Both were set on fire by an angry mob on a minor conflict.
Police has registered the case against 400 unknown people while raids are being made to catch more. CM Punjab has demanded the inquiry report of the incident and has formed a 3-member committee to fix the responsibility and take strictest action against the culprits.
