RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief General Raheel Sharif met Italy’s Chief of Staff General Claudio Graziano at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Monday.

Both generals discussed matters of bilateral cooperation in regard to defense and security including methods to ensure stability in the region.
Army chief on the occasion expressed that Pakistan’s army and its citizens are facing various challenges.
Italian chief of staff commended Pakistan army’s abilities and said that role of the army and Pakistani nation to ensure peace and stability in the region is praise-worthy.
He said Italy intends to strengthen defense relations with Pakistan.
According to ISPR, the honourable guest was given guard of honour on his arrival at the GHQ.
