Summary Pakistan, India must resolve conflict through dialogue, UN should respect its resolutions, says PM
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that United Nations (UN) must ensure implementation of its resolutions on Kashmir issue. He said that the only way to resolve the conflicts between Pakistan and India is of dialogue. He urged the UN to respect its resolutions.
Meeting the American Congress delegation today (Monday) in Islamabad, Nawaz Sharif said that the access of Pakistani products to American markets is necessary. The issues of mutual interest and relation between United States and Pakistan were discussed during this meeting. Prime Minister thanked the American delegation for their assistance in the construction of Dasu and Bhasha dams.
Discussing the Pakistan-India relations with the delegation, PM Nawaz said that cancellation of Foreign Secretary level talks from Indian side was disappointing. He said that conflict between both the countries can only be resolved through talks. “Kashmiris must also be stakeholders in the resolution of Kashmir issue”, he said. He stressed upon ensuring implementation of UN resolutions of the Kashmir issue.
