Summary Hashmi said he would oppose any unacceptable measures taken by either Nawaz Sharif or Imran Khan.
MULTAN (Dunya News)— Former Member of National Assembly Makhdoom Javed Hashmi termed Sheikh Rasheed as the honorary chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) saying that Imran Khan is not running the party as per constitution but by keeping in view his personal desires.
Speaking to the media at his residence in Multan, Javed Hashmi said that Jahangir Tareen has issued a show-cause notice but he doesn’t consider it important enough to respond to it.
Hashmi also affirmed that according to the party law, President of a democratic party can’t be dismissed, adding that the allegations mentioned in the show-cause notice do not follow the constitution. The notice is a shame for those who have sent it but it’s an honor for me, said Hashmi.
Javed Hashmi claimed that the country’s economy is suffering a great deal because of the protests and therefore, Imran Khan must stop provoking the youth. He also asserted that he would oppose any unacceptable measures taken by both Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan.
It may be mentioned here that two days ago, PTI issued a show-cause notice to Hashmi and suspended his membership as party’s president.
In its notice, PTI summoned Hashmi to explain his position for making statements in violation of party’s discipline.
