ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday said that no PTI member national assembly (MNA) who has resigned will meet the Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq separately, Dunya News reported.
Addressing the media after the party meeting, Shah Mehmood Qureshi clarified party’s stance regarding MNAs meeting the National Assembly Speaker individually. He said that the government’s strategy doesn’t seem appropriate.
Earlier, PTI leaders decided not to resign from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial assembly. The decision was taken in a party meeting presided by PTI chairman Imran Khan.
On the other hand, Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal has summoned PTI Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs) on September 29 in his chamber where the verification of their resignations will take place.
In the first phase of verification four PTI MPAs viz Nabeela Haqim, Malik Taimoor, Waheed Akhter Dogar and Rashid Hafeez have been called.
