Summary Political differences to be solved via dialogue, she added.
WASHINGTON (Dunya News) -- In a media briefing at Washington, the United States Department of State deputy spokesperson Marie Harf said that the United States Of America (USA) has been adamant about solving the Pakistani political crisis through dialogue because that is the only solution.
In response to a question by the media, Marie Harf said, “Well, yes, we still support Nawaz Sharif because he is the elected leader. We have said that repeatedly, and we have been carefully monitoring the demonstrations in Islamabad. We have consistently said that the U.S. encourages all the parties to work together to resolve their differences through dialogue; also, though, oppose any efforts to impose extra-constitutional change to the democratic system. It is something we have talked about a lot in here. We are monitoring it. Obviously, our ambassador remains in touch with Pakistani officials, but not much more analysis than that."
