KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain said that political parties should encourage dialogue instead of indulging in political clashes and promoting chaos everywhere on the streets, which is detrimental to Pakistan’s swiftly deteriorating situation.
In a telephonic address to a joint meeting of MQM Rabta Committee and organizational committees, MQM chief said that the country’s political parties should flexibly engage in dialogue instead of making matters worse in lieu of the swiftly deteriorating political quandary.
Hussain further said that the onus of resolving affairs by finding the middle ground lies heavily upon Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, as he is from the ruling party, because it is the government’s constitutional duty to solve the nation’s predicaments in an amicable manner for the betterment of the country. The government should ponder upon the claims put forward by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairperson Imran Khan, he said.
MQM chief said that the country’s swiftly deteriorating situation has forced the citizens to move their investment to foreign countries, which is a reason for the steady decline in the country’s economic prospects. He added that at this occasion the ruling party and the opposition should resolve this political crisis through utmost cooperation instead of political in fighting.
