Summary Government to maintain in letter that Tahirul Qadri is involved in extra-constitutional activities
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Punjab government has decided to write a letter to Canadian government requesting it to cancel Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri’s Canadian nationality. Important documents have been handed over to legal experts for the preparation of letter.
Punjab government will take up the plea before Canadian government that Tahirul Qadri is involved in extra-constitutional activities in Pakistan and inciting people to violence through his speeches. Cases against him have also been registered while several other cases are in pipeline. Punjab government will also inform the Canadian government that investigations regarding tax-evasion are also underway against Tahirul Qadri.
Punjab government will request Canada to cancel Dr. Qadri’s Canadian nationality.
This letter will be handed over to the Canadian authorities by the federal government through diplomatic channel in a day or two.
