Dar and Altaf agree to end political rift through dialogue

Summary Ishaq Dar calls Altaf Hussain to discuss the National Security Conference and the political crisis.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) –Finance Minister Ishaq Dar called Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s chief Altaf Hussain on Friday to discuss the current political crisis and the National Security Conference schedulde to be held on Saturday, Dunya News reported.

In the telephone conversation both Ishaq Dar and Altaf Hussain, agreed upon continuing the struggle maintaining democratic process in Pakistan. Also, both leaders settled on interacting with each other on social issues in future.

Ishaq Dar commented that MQM’s struggle for democracy is truly commendable. He further said that the national leaders are being taken into confidence over the conditions of IDPS and the ongoing military operation in North Waziristan. He asked Altaf Hussain to nominate a member of MQM to receive briefing on Zarb-e-Azb. Altaf Hussain was of the view that political matters should be tackled with dialogue instead of misuse of the state power. The political argument shouldn’t go too far making the return impossible, said Altaf.
