ISLAMABAD (Dunya news) - The Federal Government has extended the enforcement period of Section 144 for another two months in Islamabad. A notification has been issued in this regard.
Under the Section 144, all kinds of protests, public gathering of five or more people, public display of weapons is prohibited. According to the notification, the section 144 will remain imposed for next two months.
The Islamabad administration has also issued the final policy over Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s protest scheduled on August 12.
The government will utilize all resources to thwart Tahirul Qadri’s protest. The policy also decided to arrest PAT’s leaders and workers if they attempted to enter federal capital. The administration stated that the PAT leaders were inciting public to violence through their provocative speeches, adding that the party has refused to accept Pakistan’s constitution.
Meanwhile, the policy related to PTI’s long march will be issued tomorrow.
