Summary Liaqat Baloch informed the government of IK’s demands whereas the government gave its own proposals.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami in the leadership of Liaqat Baloch met the Interior Minister of Pakistan Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan at Punjab House Islamabad today (Friday).

Both the party members discussed the prevailing political scenario of the country. JI informed Nisar of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s demand of conducting recounting in 10 constituencies whereas Nisar informed them of suggestions by the governments.

Talking to the media, Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Liaqat Baloch said that they have received the proposals from the government which shall now be presented before Khursheed Shah and Mehmood Achakzai whereas they would also consult the chief of Jamat-e-Islami, Sirajul Haq.

Nawaz Sharif had said that he would be consulting his team and we have given the suggestions after meeting Imran Khan to the Prime Minister, he added.

In response to a question, Liaqat Baloch pronounced that the political issues might get into a dead end. Musharraf should not be allowed to escape taking advantage of the situation. He further said that they did not discuss anything related to article 245 with the government.

Protest of the opposition has always been perceived suspicious. He clarified that they have no issues with the long march as peaceful protests are the major strength of the opposition. What if the government gets taken over by someone else, it’s therefore preferable to settle the issues in a suitable way.

We shall all try to inform Imran Khan of the proposals suggested by the government.
