KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Sunday endorsed coordination committee’s decision to accept the apologies of the suspended members and to reinstate them, Dunya News reported.
Addressing the committee through telephone from London, he said that MQM members must recognize their duties and responsibilities and must not observe any negligence.
He directed the party workers to inquire the wellbeing of families of deceased MQM workers and to behave pleasantly with all the workers.
It merits mentioning here that nineteen of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) members who were earlier suspended, submitted their apologies to the party on Sunday afternoon.
MQM chief Altaf Hussain had suspended as many as nineteen members of the central coordination committee for exhibiting ‘irresponsibility’ on Sunday morning.
The suspended members include Kanwar Naveed, Nasreen Jalil, Dr Sagheer Ahmed, Abdul Rasheed Godel and Ashfaq Mangi.
According to the statement, none of the suspended members were allowed to attend any gathering related to MQM. The party had warned that of membership cancellation if suspended members were seen at any Iftar party or MQM-related public gathering.
These members had submitted the apologies and the final decision was taken by the coordination committee and endorsed by the chief Altaf Hussain.
