Summary Govt should find a political way to handle it instead of panicking, he said.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said on Sunday that if the government handles the protest calls of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT)’s Tahirul Qadri, then there will be no threat to the democracy, Dunya News reported.
Addressing the media in Lahore, he said that if Imran Khan’s and Tahirul Qadri’s calls to protest pose a threat to democracy then the institutions are weak.
Gilani said that Imran Khan is a leader and that it is leaders’ job to protest on the issues that concern the public. He said that he has also protested for the welfare of the public, adding that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also used to stage protests.
Former Prime Minister said that the government should handle Imran Khan’s call to protest through a political way and not by panicking.
