LAHORE (Dunya News) – Judicial Magistrate has ordered Station House Officer (SHO) Faisal Town to submit the records in reference to the bail plea of Gullu Butt – the police tout who vandalized vehicles amid Model Town tragedy – to the court within one hour, Dunya News reported.
Hearing commenced at the Model Town Court in Lahore when the stance taken in the plea was brought before the court. The plea submitted that Gullu Butt is mentally unstable, maintaining that mental instability is the reason his family abandoned him, and that the provisions proposed in the lawsuit are all bailable. Citing insanity as prime reason, it was sought that Gullu Butt be released on bail.
During the hearing, the court expressed grave anger on the records not being provided by the SHO and instructed to present them in an hour.
As the hearing resumed, the police requested the court to send Butt on physical remand; following which, the court sent the accused on six-day physical remand.
