ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central information secretary Shireen Mazari has said that the Election commission of Pakistan (ECP) should not hear Arsalan Iftikhar’s petition against PTI chief Imran Khan.
She said that Arslan was a corrupt man and misusing his father’s, position as former CJP. Mazari further said that the PTI was working for rule of law and strengthening democracy in the country.
Arsalan Iftikhar, son of former Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, has decided to file reference against Imran Khan in Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Addressing the media, Arsalan said that Imran Khan doesn t fulfill the qualifications specified in Article 62, 63 of the constitution to contest elections, adding that he is neither Saadiq (honest) nor Amin (righteous).
The son of former CJP held a meeting with the secretary of Election Commission in Islamabad today and submitted an application to seek nomination papers and other documents of Imran Khan.
Arsalan said that Imran Khan didn’t mention his daughter in papers.
