Summary All Opposition parties should give a unanimous call to the nation for Long March
LAHORE: (Dunya News) Pakistan Muslim League (Q) leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Ilahi has said that he is trying to bring all the opposition parties under one flag and strive collectively for a single-point agenda. According to the details, a meeting of PML (Q) Central Working Committee took place in Lahore and was presided over by the President of the party, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. Former Chief Minister of Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Ilahi, said that Model Town incident has proved the failure of this system. He said that none of the accused has so far been convicted in the case and it proves that the system has failed to deliver.
He further said that all opposition parties must get united to topple this government. “The government has failed and it is the need of the hour that we get rid of it as soon as possible”, said Ch Pervaiz Ilahi. Party leaders said that the current government is an offshoot of rigging in the General Elections 2013. They said that the government enjoys no legitimacy and should not remain in power therefore. “With poor management and worst ever governance in the history of the country, the current PML (N) government does not deserve to rule Pakistan”, said Pervaiz Ilahi.
Ch Pervaiz Ilahi said during the media briefing that fifteen people died on 17 June yet the families of the deceased are not getting justice. He said that when states are run in such a manner, how can you wish people not to raise revolutionary slogans? “Instead, the government cabinet members are making victory signs over it”, said Ch Pervaiz Ilahi. Ch Pervaiz Ilahi said that the government was not allowing the families of the dead to file FIR for the murder of their loved ones. “New facts about the Model Town incident are surfacing which prove that the government officials at the highest levels were involved in the killings”, said ex Chief Minister Punjab.
PML (Q) leadership also assured Pakistan Army of complete support in the Operation Zarb-e-Azb. The party leadership decided to give financial support to the IDPs. They also said that Pakistan Muslim League (Q) will try its best to bring all the opposition parties on one page and then give a unanimous call to the nation for a Long March to the capital of Pakistan.
