Summary Loadshedding duration has reduced by 1-2 hours after shortfall reduction.
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Electricity shortfall came down to 3,000MW on Saturday following Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s directives to reduce duration of power outages across the country, Dunya News reported.
According to Ministry of Water and Power, electricity generation stands at 11,600 megawatt against the demand of 14,600 megawatts.
Hydel power plants are generating 3,350MW, thermal plants 1,600MW and IPPs are producing 6,650 megawatts of electricity.
Loadshedding duration in urban areas has reduced to 8 hours while rural areas are facing 12-hour power cuts.
According to authorities, temperature has improved recently in different parts of the country, thus, power demand was reduced accordingly.
