ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Special court on Friday reserved its decision on the plea of former military ruler Pervez Musharraf’s counsel, seeking access to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) report in the treason case, Dunya News reported.

A three-member bench — headed by Justice Faisal Arab — heard the case.

During case proceedings, Barrister Farogh Naseem argued that the Official Secrets Act exists in Pakistan, however, FIA’s investigation report does not come under this act.

Justice Faisal Arab remarked that investigation report would not have been broadcasted on the media if it was under the Official Secrets Act.

Meanwhile, the court reserved its decision on the plea and adjourned the case hearing till April 28.

On March 31, Musharraf was formally charged with subverting and circumventing the constitution by imposing emergency on November 3, 2007. Musharraf had rejected the charges levelled against him.
