Karachi (Dunya News) - Information Minister Pervez Rashid said that all groups were trying to impose their agenda thorugh gun, adding that those elements should be countered.
Addressing the media outside a private hospital after inquiring about Hamid Mir’s health, Rashid has said the government was working to strengthen democratic culture in the country.
He said democracy is the name of tolerance and peaceful interaction with each other.
The Minister said we all will have to counter the elements, who want to impose their agenda through gun.
He said the responsibility of investigations into the attack on senior journalist Hamid Mir lies on the Sindh government. However, he assured that the federal government will extend full cooperation in it.
Pervez Rashid said it will be premature to say anything about the perpetrators before investigations into the bid on Hamid Mir.
He lauded Hamid Mir s struggle for strengthening democracy and freedom of expression in the country and said we will have to support his efforts
