DERA GHAZI KHAN (Dunya News) – As many as 15 passengers standing by bus-stop were killed and another 5 injured on Thursday as 2 speeding buses ran them over. Outraged protestors blocked the road, Dunya News reported.
According to reports, passengers were waiting at Notak stop when 2 speeding buses ran them over, resulting in killing of 15 and injury of 5.
Police and rescue teams rushed to the scene following the incident. Locals launched a strong protest and blocked the road.
Rescue workers rushed the injured to Dera Ghazi Khan Divisional Hospital where emergency was imposed.
Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif reached DG Khan and consoled with the families of the deceased and ordered DPO DG Khan to launch the inquiry of the incident.
