Summary First direct meeting between Taliban and government official committees is expected today.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Government-Taliban direct meeting will be held at some undisclosed location near Bannu today (Tuesday).

The representatives held comprehensive consultations with the interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Lieutenant General Zahir-ul-Islam in Islamabad on Monday intending to fine tune the talk-agenda.

There are strong possibilities that direct dialogue between Taliban and government official committees are expected to be held in some undisclosed location in Bannu frontier region.

Sources have said that the site was being kept as top secret. Due to intermittent rains in North Wazirstan, the official dialogue committee is facing difficulties to arrive at the undisclosed scheduled spot via helicopter.

The main issues which members of the government's nominated committee would raise as confidence building measures include permanent or extension of the existing ceasefire besides the release of some high profile people kidnapped by the Taliban.
