LAHORE/ MINGORA (Dunya News) – Weather has turned pleasant after an intermittent rain in different cities throughout the night however sky cleared in most cities in Punjab including Lahore.
On the other hand, hundreds of vehicles trapped as Karakoram Highway closed at many points due to landslide.
Meanwhile, a woman and her two children died as roof of a house collapsed due to rain in Swat.
Intermittent rain with thunderstorm was recorded several cities including Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Astore, Balakot, Malam Jabba, Parachinar and Muzaffarabad.
Maximum 97 millimeter rainfall was recorded in Malam Jabba, 36mm in Kalam, 30mm, Lower Dir 42mm, Rawalpindi 20mm, Islamabad 17mm and Lahore 10mm.
Meanwhile, Karakoram Highway was closed at Dasu and Harban after landslide due to rain.
Garam Chashma, Honi, Bamboriat, Toor Koh and Lowari Tunnel were also closed due to landslide.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during next four days.
