Summary At least four accused were killed in encounter with Rangers in Lyari.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – At least five people were killed in separate incidents of violence. Three member of a family were found dead in a mysterious condition in a house in Gulshan-eIqbal area. The victims included head of the family Sameer, his wife Hira and their son, three-year-old AbdulAhad.
According to police, Sameer committed suicide after killing his wife and son. Police added that the incident seemed to be result of domestic conflict or economic problem.
Meanwhile, two persons were killed in separate incidents of firing in Shah Faisal Colony and Landhi. Some unknown persons threw cracker on the house of local leader Jamat Ahle Sunnat Waljamt Allama Ahmad Ali Shah and managed to flee from the scene. No casualty was reported.
In another incident, local leader of Pakistan People Party (PPP), Ali Ghani was shot dead near Landhi Murtaza Chorangi.
Some unidentified persons threw hand grenade on the house of ANP leader Alam Zeb in Orangi Town Quaide-Awam Colony and fled from the scene. No casualty was reported.
Three accused including activist of a banned outfit and mastermind of bomb making were killed in encounter during raid launched by Rangers and intelligence agencies in Lyari.
An accused was also killed in encounter with Rangers in Mawach Goth. The dead bodies of the accused were shifted to civil hospital for autopsy.
