LAHORE (Dunya News) – Bollywood’s legendary actor Om Puri arrived at Dunya News head office in Lahore on Sunday along with the message of love and happiness and prayed for Indo-Pak’s peaceful coexistence, Dunya News reported.
Dunya News staffers’ faces lit up as they welcomed cheerful Om Puri with bouquet.
Bollywood star won everyone’s hearts with his amusing anecdotes of his brief Lahore visit. He said the love he received from Lahore and Pakistan is a treasure for him.
He further said that both people love each other and that the governments of both countries should make efforts to bring people closer.
Om Puri said he received love at every step in Pakistan adding that he hasn’t sighted ‘Satan’ anywhere. He further said if Berlin Wall can fall then Pakistan and India can also come closer.
Answering a question by Dunya News anchorperson, he said he would be more than happy to act in Pakistani films if offered.
Om Puri said he’s overjoyed to have been able to see Lahore in his lifetime adding that now that he has seen Lahore, he’s truly born.
He said Pakistanis truly export happiness and love for free adding that Pakistanis and Indians crave to meet each other.
Om Puri said he wants to keep visiting Lahore.
Earlier, Om Puri met Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PMLQ) leaders Chaudhry Shujaat and Chaudhry Pervez Elahi. Chaudhry Shujaat said that Om Puri is passionate about Pakistan adding that he has abundance of ‘Pakistaniat’ in him. He further said that he has only seen one complete film in his whole life and that was of Om Puri.
Pervez Elahi said Puri’s visit has improved Indo-Pak relations adding that artists play more important role to bring people closer than ambassadors. Om Puri emphasized that the doors of love should now be opened between the two countries appealing ‘haters’ to give up.
